Ivy Haven with City View Loft

Disappointing Positive: The suburb of Glebe is centrally located and close to the city. The house is in Glebe. Negative: We paid $1165 for this property for 2 nights. 4 adults and one small child On booking I was asked to provide a photo ID - I emailed it to the listed email address. The day before travelling I was asked for another photo ID and a photo of me holding my ID. The front porch was dirty - unswept leaves and old paint work The photos did not match the condition of the house - marks on the walls, chipped paintwork everywhere, dust & cobwebs in the corners, dust on the skirting boards, missing tiles in the bathroom, broken furniture and piles of leaves on the back deck. The beds are listed as 2 queen beds - they are double beds The bed in the front room - the springs are close to the surface of the mattress - it was very uncomfortable There are stains on the bed quilt in the front room No pillow protectors in the back bedroom and stains on one pillow No bedside reading lamps

Positive: We loved this Victorian terrace house, it feels warm and inviting. The three bedrooms are comfortable, and the private parking space was really convenient for driving. It’s just a short walk to Sydney Fish Market and CBD, with plenty of cafes and shops nearby. The house was clean with complete facilities, self check-in was smooth and the host responded quickly. It’s ideal for family or group trips. We had a wonderful stay and would book it again on our next trip to Sydney.

Lots of broken appliances, very uncomfortable bed you could feel the springs in them, very poor customer service and com Positive: Great location and it was nice to have an outdoor area with young children. Negative: The dishwasher was broken, when we enquired about this they didn’t even bring over a drying rack for us to handwashing our dishes. During our stay the dryer broke. We asked for a cot because we have a 1 year old, they said a cot would be supplied but when we got there we were told they didn’t have a cot. They dropped off a co-sleeper at 8pm at night which is not a cot and is unsafe for a baby above 6 months, my 1 year old barely fit in it and if she stood up could have easily fallen out. There were cockroaches in the bathroom.

Lovely stay in Glebe. Would highly recommend. Positive: Great location, spacious and comfortable. Negative: Could do with a bit more kitchen appliances/mugs/accessories.
